Default Who owns Trojan batteries company

A friend just bought a Club Car and the 4 year old batteries won’t hold a charge. In looking for new 12volt batteries 2 places told him to get interstate because interstate owns Trojan batteries now so they are the same thing. I haven’t heard this and can’t find anything on the internet. Any input would be great.
Thanks
Mike

Trojan makes a few batteries for interstate, cheaper ones I believe. From what I’ve heard, interstate does not own them and their golf cart battery is not made by Trojan. Interstate is using that saying to customers that Trojan makes all their batteries, when it’s only a few little ones

Trojan is the same good product it always was but I hear the new owners are raising the pricing after the new year.
This post just reminded me to order a new set
