Thanks JR. Iíve made made a good checklist from everything Iíve read on here. Still canít get my dongle to communicate to the controller. I have to be missing one thing, Iíve tested the communication and it talks back. Iím going to try the program on a older laptop, I think windows 10 is restricting me somewhere

Use Windows XP or Windows 7. There have been issues with the newer OSs.

Me too

I have the dongle working and when disconnected from a controller will show Factory mode but as soon as I hook it up it goes back to OEM. Need to work on line I believe 38 in the prom.

There are random IRQ conflict issues with laptops and the newer OSs that can cause the cursor to jump around when trying to navigate the programming software screen. It'll drive you nuts trying to click, wrong entries randomly autoclick. It can trash the settings in a working controller pretty quickly. Adding a mouse or trackball can sometimes help. Use a newer OS and you may risk messing up your controller.

Thanks Bob, mine has not donít that yet. Would changing the compatibility mode to a lower version OS help fix this by chance?

It did not fix it for me. I tried all sorts of things. Of course you won't notice it until you have it up and running, connected to a controller, and are in there trying to tweak parameters.

Scoots, I've been buried and not able to jump online. Sorry for the delay. I am using Windows 10 on a laptop and have had no issues with it.

I used Linux and the ft232r_prog utility to configure the cable/EEPROM.
