I am struggling with unlocking the parameters now. I can change most, but still not able to set max speed past 8000 rpm or set acceleration any faster. I have disabled freedom mode first and then tried to make the changes, but it does not allow me to change the Accel HS or LS, just stuck at 7.0 sec

8k RPM is the hard limit of that controller. No access level will increase beyond that. Additionally access level does not determine a max value a setting can reach only the read/write stats of the entire parameter. That said if you are able to adjust it at all you have full range of control over that setting.

The data on 74h is responsible for the level.

Once you install the software the registry is quote empty. I you press connect with an interface connected that had the right vid and pid the software will set alle registry values exept of IAL. (Just press connect, there does not have to be a motor controller connecties to the interface)

You can add IAL yourself using regedit and the software will think it is fully configured.

As soon as one does press connect with an interface that had correct data on 74h in the erprom the software does set the level to whatever belongs to tiat data.

It still could be there is or was software for the other levels. The folders seem to exist on the update server. So why have folders for user, service, dealer and factory on the server if that software does not exist.....

Maybe someday one of the members does come up with a 3301 or 3302 Dealer version of the software. Who knows. Not that it would help us since we already have a higher level to work with but I still would like to have a look at it.

Oh, I'm sure there were differing levels of the older software. There had to be. Because the interface was essentially a dumb device, to connect the computer to the controller and to adapt full RS-232 serial to inverted 5V/0V TTL. The point is, in those days, the controllers did not have the advanced features or menus that the modern controllers have, and those older softwares will not work with the new features in modern controllers. While the newer software will work with the new and the old controllers. The only controller software incompatibility I have seen is with some of the chinese clones of Curtis controllers. That is because Curtis changed the hardware and software after China went rogue with the Curtis intellectual property, in order to attempt to cut off support for the ongoing sea of chinese clone controllers flooding the market.

Yea, I explained it to him in PM. The 0-8000 is a relative setting, not literal. The engineers did things in ways that were clear to them, but confusing to non-engineers. To a non-engineer, it makes no sense. LOL

Congrat!
I found it a couple of weeks ago. Be care if you change a parameter that doesn't fit the controller, motor and so on.

Interesting to see that yours shows developer at the bottom. There must be a few different levels of developer as well

That looks to be operating in the Serial mode of the Programming Station software. It does not seem to be able to access the Advanced level Developer menus, as they are not showing on-screen. It's not in Enhanced Serial mode. Maybe the connected controller does not support it?
