Has anyone found a source for the for pin connector? I've searched the Molex web site and can't find anything close. It looks to have a pitch of .145 but the design can't be found there. If you have a source, please let me know.

I've done a good deal of reverse engineering of serial comm in the past and expect good success with this one.

I bought a PC PSU Connector from Maplins and cut the centre 4 posts off with the clip that secures it.

This is the one I bought: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=44019

That last part was where I was in "Brake Press" diag and I was pushing the brake pedal a little harder and harder.

Clearly, this controller is not intended to "talk" to a dumb terminal, rather a "smart" software. I need the 1413 software.

Does this board allow members to email each other directly? If so, can someone send me the files to bill@billjohnson.net

Oh, and I ordered a 4 pin ATX connector.

Thanks

Bill

Hey billbobagns, once you get 5 posts i belive you get the PM feature, ill just send you an email

Looks like you got a great head start! anything to help connecting to controllers is a great start!

Alot of the EV people would be looking for a break too from what ive heard on the EV sites

Do you have a cart BTW?

I retired this last summer from Higher Education. Higher Ed fosters "Open Collaboration" and "Full Disclosure". Anything I can figure out is of little use if I keep it to myself.

As for 5 posts, I have not been counting, but assumed I was well over that. I looked in the into info for this form and thought it said you got PM after 3 posts.

In any case, I'll try to make a few more posts and not clog up anyone's PC screen.

Ya Ya. Vell, that's von pretty good I got dem old country files ya.

Funny, the zip was 34MB. It contained two identical files, one with an .exe and one with .doc extensions. I deleted the .doc and the .exe installed just fine. I can only imagine how it got that way.

Now, I need to hook it up and "go to school". But I know a guy I can call to ask questions.

Much of my concern is going to be focused on specifics for the Curtis 1238 installed in the Wheego Whip. But I can probably help guys with other stuff too.
