Melex and micro switches
I am looking at a total rewire on my Melex 212 and now met with total confusion. I have the parts manual for the cart. On the speed washer board the manual shows only one micro switch, however, I have two on my cart. Anyone know if this is the normal set-up or what do I have here? I am not sure of the wiring.

Re: Melex and micro switches
You probably have an Ezgo F&R. Melex is an Ezgo Clone.....lots of parts are substitutable..... Notice I didn't say interchangeable? You see the problem is it is a Polish copy and so you can't just bolt Ezgo parts on it. But if you are crafty you can make due with a lot of Ezgo parts.... I rewired my Melex 212 and I ended up taking the melex and the ezgo diagrams and kinda blending them. Applying each to whatever section it applied best to. I know that sounds crazy but, it worked well. After all it isn't rocket sceince....Now, for your first question? 1 micro is activated when the F&R is in Forward and 1 is activated when it is in ....? You guessed it ! Where do they go? What do they do? THey are little switches....so in the diagram what are they turning on?
Now go string some wire. |

Re: Melex and micro switches
Scottyb, not to belabor a question, but you said the F&R switch. Yes, that has two micro switches. This is on the speed controller. I can't find anything that shows two switches on that contraption. Am I missing something here? or, most likely, I am just stoopid

Re: Melex and micro switches
Oops wrong one......the first one I posted had solid state speed control. This is the one you are looking for it is from the electrical ezgo section stickies....If this doesn't print well you can go there and try.

Re: Melex and micro switches
Scottyb, I had a major oops. When tigthening the cable to A1 on the motor it came loose. Is that a major repair or can I fix it?
