Bad boy buggy classic voltage to frame
Hello all. I’m not sure of year model but I have an old style BBB classic 4wd 48v electric car.
Long story short,my multimeter reads full pack voltage when connected to the chassis and main battery positive terminal. Enough to shock the hell out of me. Batteries are new and clean. I have no aftermarket accessories on the car that could be grounded to the frame and as far as I can tell no wires making direct contact. I’ve done numerous other tests with my meter but honestly don’t know what any of it means. The only thing I can say is that I get full pack voltage when the key is in the off position. The voltage completely and instantly drops when I turn the key on. When the key is turned back to the off position, the voltage steadily climbs from 0.00 to 48v at a rate of approximately one tenth every 2-3 seconds. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
