Charging a Huntve 48v cart
Just picked up a 2011 Huntve 48v dream season cart and it came with a eagle performance series dual pro 48v/18amp charger, is it ok to leave it plugged in all the time, was told that once its charged to unplug it because not good for the batteries. Also it has eight 6v batteries.

Re: Charging a Huntve 48v cart
Never heard of that charger, but it appears to be a smart charger design, which means you should be able to plug it in and leave it plugged in.
Whats the model number off the charger? They do have manuals for download available on their website. That doesn't mean you can "set it and forget it", its always a good idea to keep an eye on the cart and the batteries during storage. If you've never used his charger before, you need to keep a close watch on it and let it run through a few charge cycles and make sure it is fully charging the pack, and make sure it is shutting off on its own. A charger that never turns off is either defective, or indicates the pack is not able to accept a full charge. |
