Question Changing Tires

I was wondering if anyone one had any lessons learned changing tires on buggies. Need to replace our ITP ultra gt "205/30-12" 4ply tires. I found the exact tire but not know what to look for in having the tires mounted. These are street tires that have nearly 4000 miles on them. Starting to get bald from aggressive driving.

main questions are:

Do I have the tires balanced or trued?

Do I need to look for a store with a certain machine to use for removing and installing new 12" tires on without scratching chrome rings? The last part is important to me.

Any advice or lessons learned would be kindly appreciated.

Around here, there are many little tire shops that are just in little shacks. Go to one of those, if you have them near by. For 5-10 bucks a tire, they will take care of you.

Any tire shop will be able to help you out. They have matted levers that they use on nice wheels so they will know to not mar your wheels.

The balancing need is 100% about how fast you are going and road condition. If you are just driving 10-15 mph in a campground with dirt roads then it's not needed. If you are zipping 25 mph on a paved road in a street legal cart then, yes, it needs to be done for sure.

I would go to "DISCOUNT TIRE" if they have them in your area. They seem to be pretty sharp when comes to almost any wheel/tire.

Looks like Pensacola and Panama City are the closest ones to you.
