A Few Questions about electric motor wiring
I have been studying a few wiring diagrams and have a few questions. In most of the diagrams I have looked at, the current flow is from B+ to the stator then to the rotor and then to B-. In a couple of diagrams, the current flow has been B+ to the rotor then to the stator then to B-. Is one way better than the other? Is there a performance advantage to either way of wiring the motor?
Thanks for any insight. |

Re: A Few Questions about electric motor wiring
In most cases it is just how the factory decided how to wire it. It will not make much if any difference in performance.
