EZ Go C101 - Speed up?
I looked up the model number and it's C101. I'm assuming the last two means it's a 2001 model, but that's all I can figure out. Is this a TXT some other type (not that I even know what TXT means).
After using it at a couple of campgrounds, I noticed I was getting passed quite a bit. I had the motor and batteries checked and all is well. Several people said they made changes to speed theirs up, either a jumper or chip. Problem is, I don't know which applies to mine. Any help out there? |

Lift the seat up & look for a run-tow switch. This will tell us what you have or don’t have.

Re: EZ Go C101 - Speed up?
I don't think there is one. I recall seeing something like that on others I was looking at. The only switches are the forward/reverse switch that's beneath the seat near the driver's leg and the light switch that's obviously an after-market thing. Just to be sure, where would it be located?

If you don’t have the run -tow switch, then you have a Series cart. The best one to have if you are looking for speed. You will have to spend the money.

With a 36v series cart, if your looking for more speed, you have a couple of options. Do a 48v conversion or have your motor reworked by someone like PQ or EMP.

Re: EZ Go C101 - Speed up?
A 36v motor rewind from EMP or PQ, if you send in your motor, should be around $250-$300. If you don't want to send your motor, add $100 for the core. You may still need a new 400+ amp controller $500 and 4ga wires $125.
A 48v conversion, depending on what you have can be as much as $1500. |
