A heated shop? Lucky cart!

Best thing to do is leave everything hooked up and once a month take it out for a 15 minute ride, then bring it back in and throw the charger on it. And like allways, keep the batteries and all the connections clean and tight.

I read somewhere that it is bad to leave your charger hooked up. It's not bad for the cart or charger...UNLESS...a lightning storm comes along. If your power gets struck by lightning, it can destroy your controller and charger.

I guess that depends on how often you have storms there, though.

Like gorno said...take it for a ride once a month and definately check the connections at least once a month. Batteries like to be disharged and charged. IMO letting the batteries just sit without cycling is not good for them.

I was refering to the battery cables, not the charger. By all means, when the charger is completed pull the plug out of the cart. Sorry if I confused anyone.
