Antigue Westinghouse needs help
Hi Guys! My aunt has a three wheel classic Westinghouse Serial #406270
possible model# 6793 ? Any one know what we have here? Is it a 1970? Anyway, the poor thing's suspension is weak as a kitten. Coils and shocks mounted side by side in the rear, Anybody have cross-reference # for gas shocks or coils to stiffen this daily user? PS. Cart has a huge 4.5 hp 36v stock motor and is built like a tank. Thanks for any input! scottyb |

None.. lol. most of the guys who know a lot about those cars aren't exactly computer savvy.
I think your best bet on the shocks is to take one off and run to an auto parts store... the rest of the stuff, I'm pretty clueless on... sorry. |

Re: Antigue Westinghouse needs help
Are the front end body panels flat and squared off or one big panel kinda rounded? Double check those first 3 numbers.

Re: Antigue Westinghouse needs help
roady, thought I posted reply here but, don't see it now?
yes, front end is kind of a tappered square. 406270 were pretty clear on the serial but the model # was rubbed off. The tag is at the floor where your heel may rub if you tucked your foot back to the seat base while crrusing your 3 wheeler. in addition someone had put a sticky printed # 6793 on the tag area? I assumed it to be a model # but, who knows what it is? Vintagecarts had listed shocks. OEM. Since then I have gotten some Par rear springs that I am going to cut and paste into the rear which may change the shock requirements. Thanks for any info. Just wanted to be able to id the year. |

But it's cool - check out the bumper bar that runs all the way around the cart! It has a hand brake that actually depresses and locks the foot pedal. Key and F/R on the drivers exterior of the cart. Old style |
