two questions

#1) Cushman model 898102 which side is pos ,solenoid or reversing switch,need to confirm before final wire placement(book doesn't say which is pos and which is neg). Thank you

#2) I have a 12 volt battery that was charged (seemed to accept and works ok) but,the positive post keeps turning black. Wuzup????

The solenoid is not polarity sensitive. I dunno about the other... sounds like a small short?
