Post Testing a charger

I am trying to figure out a way to properly test a cart charger. I am not sure if it is a 36V or 48V charger, but my freind has two carts that he is trying to get up and running and he believes the charger is not charging properly. I told him that I am not sure how to test the charger but I could post something on BGW for him and see what kind of feed back that we could get. Thanks for your time trying to explain.

The charger should have the voltage output listed on the data plate or on the casing.

See bottom center of this charger.

I just sold my 36 volt charger and just to be sure everything was perfect on it before sending it out, I simply changed my cart back to 36 volt, plugged it in and confirmed good.

Look on the charger and it will say on there what the volts are, like SP said,-- If you want to test to see if it works, get a DVM meter and set it on 200v dc-volts, and take a reading of the pack volts on the cart that you are using the charger on??, then plug the charge in and hook it to the cart and take a reading of the pack volts, if the charger is working the volts with the charger hooked up will be alot higher if it works
