Default Marketeer "Barn Find"

Hello. New guy here. I've never owned an electric golf cart before but couldn't pass this Marketeer barn find up &thought I'd share it with you "cart entheusists":
I'm still trying to narrow down the year but I think it may be around 1965. The model is 438.
I picked it up yesterday for $400. The seller threw in 4 brand newTrojan 105's so I picked up 2 more so I'm in to it about $630 with 6 fresh batterys. It appears to have had little use and there is absolutely no rust. It's a bit sluggish but I understand that new batteries don't perform at 100% until a couple chargings so hoping for an increase in performance later on.
It seems to need nothing except for a windshield and new canvas top. The seats are like new and nothing has been "hacked" or altered from stock.
I'll see if I can figure out how to post a photo.

Thanks for the feedback & compliments. The windshield frame was (unlike the rest of this tank) very flimsy so I removed it today. The soft top frame is designed to be self supporting without the front windshield frame. Took the grandkids for a cruise today. So far I can't find anything wrong with this buggy.

Here's a few more pics:

Thanks. I originally stated that I thought this buggy was around a 1965 model but after some ''surfing' I think it's closer to 1975 but still can't narrow down the exact year. The serial number is 424798 and model is 438. Anyone know how to decipher this serial number to obtain the date of mfg.?

It is a Marketeer. That was the manufacture. Funny thing about your question is that the company sold to westinghouse and they were made about 50 miles from here. Many are still around here but few look as good as this one.... by the way click on the link below to read more... your model # is mentioned in the brief history....
