Default Western Frame compatability with newer EZgo frames

Hello all, I just recently accuired a 1984 Western 300 series. It is a 36V resistor type I believe. I identified the cart by calling Lido and they gave me the data including regarding the cart. From their website www.lidomotors.com, I was able to download the service manual for it. I am interested in changing a few things around. For one changing tire size. The stock wheels were 205x50x10. The new carts they manufacture now are using 14 inch wheels. They were unable to answer this but are the newer EZgo frames compatible with the older EZgo frames. Lets say I wanted to lift it. Which year setup will work if it is possible at all? Thanks D

Default Re: Western Frame compatability with newer EZgo frames

Welcome to BGW.
I am quite familiar with your buggie, there are lots of them around So Cal.
Your cart is built on a modified Ezgo Marathon Chassis of the same year. 1994 & newer ones were built on the TXT chassis. The suspension is the same as the Ezgo of the same year (of your cart) except the western body & acc. are much heavier. That is one of the engineering over sites by Western Carts.
Not sure you can find anything more than a block lift kit for the cart. Check around in the Marathon section. Good Luck
