Default Electric vs. gas maintenance required

I'm looking into buying a golf cart very soon and wanted to get an opinion as to whether gas or electric requires more maintenance or maintenance cost anyway. I'm planning on hunting with the cart so I'm leaning towards electric just because they are so quiet. Gas engines always seem to not start when you most need them to.
What are your thoughts?
