On the wiring diagram 88-03 where is the sheet that explains the wire colors and the number meanings. |

It sounds to me he's got he polarity reversed on the cord he put on your new charger, ie, he's got what should be the positive wire hooked to the negative charger output and vise versa. If you have a DVM, digital volt meter, plug the charger into the wall and check to see what position your test leads are in to achieve a positive DC voltage reading then do the same on your carts recept. Your positive charger prong should plug into your positive recept. on the cart and the same for the negative side. Hope this helps...

I have a 67 Harley that did the same thing. It was indeed the diodes. I replaced them both and then kept the good one for a spare.
