Late 90's Cushman Hawk.. Advice please
I hope this is the right topic location.
Our Family Farm has a late 90's Cushman Hawk Electric (UTV?) which consists of the 48V electric system. We've owned it about 4 years and have had to replace all 8 batteries twice at $100/piece. Now, the third set is at the point where they don't hold a charge. We don't want to replace the batteries a third time and before parking it with a "Bet Offer" sign, I thought I could seek some input. I'm finding that there's not alot out there for parts for this vehicle which makes me wonder if the parts themselves are valuable (minus the batteries!). Option 1: Strip the machine and sell off the parts. Option 2: Gutting the electrical system and converting to gas or diesel with a donor? Option 3: advertising it as-is? |
