Default Speedometer

I'd like to put a analog speedometer on my 98 Club Car DS. I don't want to spend $200. for a GPS either. A bicycle type would be good if someone knows of a kit for that or at-least how to do the mounting and wiring so it will work reliably.

Smile Re: Speedometer

I have a Speedhut GPS. Its an easy mount and install, and is worth every penny. You can customize it its face, needle font and light colors and even logo it with your design. It is awesome. Before I did this, I looked into bicycle speedometers. The analog ones I found were mechanical and impossible for me to work with. I did try a digital, which has its own small battery (about $ 30.00, , but you have to hook the magnet to the hub, easy enough with epoxy, build a properly mounted fixed sensor to read the rotations and lengthen the wires. It can be calibrated, but after hours of effort, I just could not get it too work. My thought is to save all the time effort and frustration going with a bastardized bicycle speedometer and check out Speedhut on-line. Charge!!
