Default Can I put wider tires on the same wheels?

I need to replace the rear tires on my Toro Workman. It has 22x9.5-10 tires all around. I've found these "22x9.50-10 4 Ply Carlisle Titan AT489" that should be an exact fit:

http://www.allterraintyres.co.uk/ind...ducts_id=90147

However these "22x11.00-10 6 Ply Titan AT489 X/T" are on sale:

http://www.allterraintyres.co.uk/ind...ducts_id=90890

They're 1.5 inch wider and they are also 6-ply instead of 4-ply so should be more puncture resistant. Will they fit properly on the same wheels?

If you have 7" wide wheels, they will fit fine on the rims, but you need to make sure they won't rub on steering-arms,suspension,frame,etc..That's why most lifts require offset-wheels,since the wider tires rub the sidewalls on cart-components.Hope this helps.

Thanks, that makes sense. The rear axle is fixed to the frame so there's no movement to worry about. The tires are also not taller and even if they were they should have more than enough clearence. I'm almost sure there's enough room between the tires and the frame to fit the extra 3/4 inch of tire width, but I need to look at it closely.
