Factory G29 fender flare choices, which one?
Looking at the Yamaha accessory catalog there are two Drive G29 fender flares available.
1) NEW! The DRIVE Off-Road Fender Flare Set, GCA-JP061-00-00 2) The DRIVE Fender Flare Set, GCA-JW154-00-00 The small picture of each look very much alike. I am guessing one might be wider then the other? I don't know. I have attached a screen snip of each. Does anyone have access to Yamaha parts specs or work at a Yamaha dealer and can find out the differences on these two flare kits? My closest dealer is hours away. Thanks. |

Thanks!
Would you know how wide the original flares are? How about these new off-road flares? |

The original ones were about 1.5-2" wide, with a shallow angle, the new ones stick out rather abruptly, roughly 5", like what you might find on a jeep.

Thanks Tony. I couldn't gather that much info from just the pictures. I appreciate the feedback.

Additional question on the original Yamaha flares (not the larger 5" off-road ones).
Do the rear flares stop above the rocker panel as in this attached picture? I haven't found a good picture of the rears after googling it. |

Re: Factory G29 fender flare choices, which one?
yep exactly as the picture above, i have a set on my drive and love them, keeps water and mud from being thrown up the side of the cart while cornering.
Yamaha use a push in fixings on them that aren't that strong but mine have held up ok, when i repaint my cart i will refit them with some stainless fixings just to tighten them up a little and allow me to remove and reinstall them easily. |

Alright, I don't think those will look good on my lifted cart. I must assume this attached image is the new off-road yamaha flares? They appear more complete coverage.

Re: Factory G29 fender flare choices, which one?
Yep, those are the newer ones, wider in front than back. And wider than the original ones that were same width front and rear.
