Default G29 Motor or Controller??

2007 Yamaha G29 was driving fine one day and all of a sudden, I went to take off and it started shuttering real bad and came to a halt. Then i got it to move again by rocking it but it also moved very slow when it began to move but still shuttered badly. Ignition switch checks out, batteries check out, accelerator switch is good, and solenoid is clicking.

Could be either, but usually when stock drive controller stops, "the shows over" it dont work again. Pull the motor loose and smell it, fried motors have a diStinct smell, good motors have very little if any smell. Or pull it and have it inspected or rebuilt by a motor shop.

I didnt get a chance to pull the motor. But i did check the resistance on both sides of the motor and the side closest to the passenger side had no resistance.

Fried brushes, you need a motor rebuild. Just wait 'till you get a chance to smell that motor when you remove it.

It concerns me that a 2007 motor would have the brushes worn completely gone. How reliable are the G29 motors? I have a 2010 Drive lifted on 23's with upgraded controller pushing 59v. I wonder if I'm on borrowed time.......
