Is there a thread on battery preference?
I see the sticky on the thread for battery comparison but I'm wondering what everyone's preferences are and why before I spend $1000 on a new set of batteries

Re: Is there a thread on battery preference?
It is reccomended to install a 48v (or 36v) to 12v dc converter for 12v stuff. This will draw power equally from all batteries for 12v stuff. Some people cheap-out and dont get one, but this will result in those 2 batteries being unbalanced with the rest of the batteries.

Here are 6v and 8v battery comparisons by their ratings. The more Ah you get, the more runtime in general.

Re: Is there a thread on battery preference?
Many of us run a 12v deep cycle battery for accessories. It would depend on how many things you are running and for how long. I have an extra 12v in all my battery carts for stereo, head/tail lights, under body lights, stereo/amp, & phone chargers.

Re: Is there a thread on battery preference?
I'm running Trojan t-875's. I am not expert but after asking around and having virtually everyone in the industry tell me Trojan I decided it was worth the extra pelts.
