Are you saying the brake pedal won't come back ? If so i'd say you need a new pivot spring.

you could also have bad brake cables they do freeze up here and there........had a guy who everytime after using his brakes had to pull pedal back up by hand........i checked it and told him he needed both rear brake cables and the parts would be 26.00 dollars and 25.00 to install and then clean and adjust brakes, cripes i thought he was going to have a heart attack........needless to say he pulled out the same way he pulled in by using his hand to pull pedal back up..................a month later back he comes can you get the cables and put them on and i say yes but the price has increased by 20% on the parts and 15.00 on the labor.............i figured F him the way he treated me the 1st time.........than i was shocked when he said i,ll leave the cart go ahead and do what you have to..............i almost had a heart attack....................................

Thanks I have been riding it some around neighborhood today and I definately need to fix them. How do you test them? If you Put Ebrakes on it is very tricky to release.

It was the pivot spring $3.40 after putting 40.00 brake shoes on it but it stops perfect now.

Hope while you were in there you removed and greased the brake pedal pivot bolt assembly if it didn't have a zirk fitting.
