Brushguards for the Yamaha drive
I'm looking at brush guards for my new build . I ran the MJFX brush guard on my first drive . It looked ok but was mainly for looks . Now I see one offered that bolts on where the bumper is now . Anybody running one of these like pictured ? - Mayor

Re: Brushguards for the Yamaha drive
That looks like the one I have. It's ok, but I was disappointed I could not fit my winch on the plate, it was too long. I attached my lights to the lower cross bar.

Here's one from the front.
Here's one from the side showing the location of one of the two bolts that hold the guard on that cannot be seen from the front. |

Re: Brushguards for the Yamaha drive
I fitted a 2500 lb winch behind that style bumper.

Re: Brushguards for the Yamaha drive
Sportcoupe did you cut the slot for the winch or did yours come that way?
I'd been thinking that might be a way to mount my winch, but haven't taken the time to see if everything would fit into place or not. |

Does it attach using the bumper mount holes or to the upper A frames ? - Mayor

Re: Brushguards for the Yamaha drive
There is 4 bolts that hold it on. Two come through from the front and two more behind the plate. In the side picture I posted you can see the head of a bolt right under the red arrow. This is one of the two bolts behind the front plate that hold it on. Lower in that picture you can see one of the two longer bolts that come through from the front.
