Post Have a questions about reading voltage at motor 1997 G16E

I have been going thru this cart. I have replaced all the wire with 4g, took motor apart and going to replace brushes when the arrive. Cleaned out all the black stuff from motor and housing.

Tested all batteries with volt meter and hydrometer. All tested good on both. Pack has 38.4V after charge.

I wanted to know if it was any valve to add a digital voltage meter to the motor to see what's going on. I put one of this one to monitor the battery pack. If so how do I hook this up.

Thanks
