Default It's official motor is dead. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I now need to buy a new motor. I have a 1997 Yamaha

I have no clue what is good, bad or junk. I don't mind spending the money for something that will last. I've been looking but really don't understand most of it.

Should I get a new controller?

I use this cart for golf. I would like to be first to my ball, but I don't need to break any speed records. My 16 yr old son also uses this cart.

Really need to get this up and running. Missing out on evening golf.

Thank you

How dead is it? Like destroyed and melted, or just won't spin?

It might be possible for Plumquick to do a rebuild on your motor and make it a "Bandit" motor. It's the best bang for the buck upgrade out there.

I'm told the Armature is to worn out. I tried putting new bushes in it and it wouldn't turn. So I don't know if anything can be done to it. I have never messed with a motor before this one.
