G27 When i put a volt meter on the 2 sm nuts?
A) Does the solenoid make a "clicking" sound?
If it doesn't, we must first determine if activation voltage is present at the small terminals #1 and #2. Connect a voltmeter across the connections at #1 and #2 and activate the system. To activate the system put the car in the run mode, key switch on, car in forward and the accelerator pedal pushed. If your voltmeter displays the system voltage and the solenoid does not "click", then the solenoid is defective and will need to be replaced. I have 50 volts at them before i push pedal WHY? i need help |

Re: G27 When i put a volt meter on the 2 sm nuts?
How are you measuring? Relative to what? You want to put one meter lead on one small terminal and the other on the other small terminal. If you see 50V across it and it's not clicking, it's either stuck open or closed. Now read across the big terminals (meter lead on each one). If you see voltage there, the solenoid is OPEN.

Re: G27 When i put a volt meter on the 2 sm nuts?
The two big post on the solenoid are both POS +, Right. If you want tp test volts on the large bolts you need to put the Pos of the meter on one post and the NEG - of your meter on a battery ground. Now when you turn the key on and push the pedal you should have volts to both big post. DO this with the rear wheels off the ground
