I would just add a small lawn mower battery and use it as your 12v source.

As far as the radio goes the option I use and am quite happy with is my smart phone with a small blue tooth speaker. No wiring. Using the 808 Thump speaker from Walmart.

Trying something similar, 12 v lights on 36v Yamaha. What the heck am going to need for that. Just using some simple fog lights, autizone special.

If your wanting to hook the lights up to the batteries then hook the wires up between two batteries (make sure you put a on/off switch in the circuit though). Here's a picture of what we are talking about.

Don't do this type of hook-up. It will drain these batteries (the ones powering the lights and stereo) faster than the other ones, and your charger cannot correct for this imbalance of power usage. The prior owner of the cart I now own did this, and I have 2 bad batteries out of the set because the weak batteries do not charge fully or hold a charge properly.

Get a DC-DC voltage reducer or use a separate 12 volt battery for accessories. These deep cycle high current batteries are too expensive to risk shortening their life with imbalanced power demand.

That's what is hooked up right now. I disconnected that set up. Cause I feared damage to batteries. Thanks guys.
