Default trying to identify an old Yamaha I am hoping to get running

I picked up an old not running Yamaha, I've never own a gulf cart before. So problem number 1 is identifying it. It says Yamaha on the front so it's a Yamaha, it's white and it's electric. The motor says Club Car, the part number is 1012191. The gulf cart part number is G8E2 1010xxxx. Searching the internet leads me to think it is a 1991 Fleet Classic. But the motor say Club Car so I am confused.

Once I've identified it I want to test the motor to see if it is any good. however getting juice to the motor to see if it spins might be a problem since there are 3 maybe 4 red leads connecting to the motor so I am at a loss at to which I should send juice too.

Help IDing it would be nice and knowing which lead to use to test the motor would be nice too. My plan lift the rear end of the cart and then to wire 3 12v batteries in series to get 36 volts to test with. Can I test with 24v or even better 12v or does the motor absolutely require 36v for a test.

tia to all that help me

A few questions... Does the key switch also select forward & reverse, or is there a lever for that? Does it have resistor coils to control speed, or a silver "mystery box" with loads of wires coming out. The fact that it currently has a clubcar motor tells me that its an older 36v yamaha that could accept CC motors. The numbers you posted suggest it might be a G8, but the number provided is not a serial number (needed to correctly identify, will be like this "Jxx-######", x= letters or numbers, #= numbers only, most likely found on an aluminum tag riveted to frame)

Forward and reverse are lever controlled by a lever in middle of the seat support box. I don't see a silver box but there is a black box with 3 big connectors on it and 3 wires coming out of it. My eyes are not very good I'll have a friend double check the number on the frame.
