Default 2009 YDRE solenoid takes long time to drop out

Have 2009 YDRE (4 x 12v)where the solenoid will remain engaged for several seconds (3-4 secs) after you have stopped and applied brake, is this normal or is it cause for concern, if so how to fix.

Totally normal. Its just waiting to see if you really intended to stop, and if the cart may start rolling unintentionally. If you think something weird is going on, check the tach sensor plug (connected to white sensor on end of motor), if unhooked, that causes strange habits with all 48v yamahas.
