Default which Alltrax controller?

I still haven't pulled the trigger on a controller yet. I have started shopping but haven't settled on which to get, dcx or xct. I am leaning towards the xct because of the USB interface. It's only about $40 more but are there any disadvantages to it? It will be going into a g22 originally equipped with a GE controller.

From what I've seen here on the forum, the XCT is leaps and bounds better than all older Alltrax controls...

I put an xct in a G22 with stock Ge motor, rpm limit off, got quite high speeds. Highest i have seen with stock motor.

The DCX has been the standby for 15 years. The XCT is the new kid that is 15yrs ahead technology wise. 3 main advantages I see in the XCt vs DCX is #1 reverse polarity protection so no more Oops there goes my new controller !?
#2 higher peak and sustained outputs. That speaks for itself #3 throttle signal auto range. That means that even if your throttle device is off the controller takes your signal and establishes it as 0-100%

If that aint worth $40 I'll eat my hat

Well then sounds like XCT is the ticket.

So my next question is what is what is the MAX settings for not (amp and RPM) killing the GE motor?

Scotty, Can you please PM me a price and part number for a controller...no offense but your website is confusing.

You can get one for the G29, not as impressive top speed tho (22ish mph).
