Default G29 Controller Installation

Looking for some help. 08 YDR new 12v Trojans. Cart quit working. I can charge cart and know it is getting power b/c headlamps come on.

With cart with run switch engaged and key turned on i get "0" click noise. I can put cart in drive or reverse, depress the gas and get nothing. In reverse I don't get back up beep.

I am by no means overly mechanically skilled and haven't tested (I don't have a multimeter or voltometer)other items (solenoid, drive/reverse switch, etc) but i have come to the conclusion it is my controller. i went ahead and ordered a new one and located the original on the back side of the battery well but am stuck.

My question is what (if any) is the easiest way to replace the controller? Do you have to removed the seats and the body? I am hoping there is an easy way.

Anyone that has made this repair I would appreciate any feedback, tips etc.

Thanks in advance for the help and Merry Xmas.

Remove the black access panel in the golf bag area.

Thanks! If I have a back set does that need to come off to remove this panel?

Thanks again.

It all depends on the back seat. My brother needs to take his back seat off to get to it, but on mine, I can get it off without messing with the seat.

Ok got controller in. The back up sensor now works but i still get no click when turning on the key and can't go forward and reverse.

Prior to changing controller i didn't even get beep in reverse; so we have made some improvement.

Would next logical pre placement be the solenoid?

Please check for 48 volt input (brown wire from key switch) and output at the "accelerator stop switch" before replacing anymore parts.

Don't be silly.

The original post indicates the OP doesn't own a DVM. In such a situation the best strategy is to replace parts (starting with the most expensive first and working towards cheaper parts) until the problem is solved.

The controller wasn't the problem. Next step should be to replace the motor.
