Default YDRE Barely Moves.....

Drove my cart two days ago and everything was fine, and its been fine since the day I bought 8 months ago. Parked it that night, and charged it. Just got in it to run down the street, and I noticed there was a "shutter" going forward and backward, but only when you barely press the pedal or ease on it. Once you move the pedal past 1/4 position the "shutter" goes away in either forward or reverse. And also it feels like its only running on one battery. All my power and speed is completely gone, like its in some kind of "limp" mode or something. It literally will barely move, and hit 10mph. Batteries are only 1 month old as is the Alltrax XCT 300amp controller. Any guidance on what to look for would greatly be appreciated.

Here is what I know after hooking it up to alltrax tool kit. 50v battery pack at rest, and no error messages. 49ish volts battery pack when I attempt to move the cart. No error messages. I don't hear any metal type gear grinding noises when the "shuttering" occurs but that's the sensation I get, like slipping gears. I'm not too familiar with electric motors and what they should feel like when they are going bad...... Is there any readings I should be paying close attention to in the tool kit while hooked up?

I may be "jumping the gun", but my beard is telling me to remove & inspect the motor at this point. It costs no money, and will at minimum eliminate a possible culprit.

Thanks cgtech. Going to haul it up to work tomorrow and get it taken apart and see what's going on. I will keep you posted. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I had a Yamaha Drive do this to me before and it ended up being a motor failure. Once I removed the motor I smelled where it had been burned.

Do check out your motor. If it's failing, it will eventually take out the controller! Replace it or get it rebuilt before that happens.

Appreciate the replies. I forgot to mention that I did notice an electrical burn smell a couple of weeks ago, but it was intermittent. I keep feeling every to check temps but everything felt ok, never felt anything, batteries, cables, motor, controller etc. that felt hot.....So more than likely it is the motor, which is stock and I assume original for all I know. Some of you may have noticed that I had this cart listed for sale last week in hopes of selling it and starting another cart project that I have but if I have a major failure like motor or rear end, I am gonna remove the for sale listing and go "all in" on this ydre. Which more than likely I will try and sell the 1 month old XCT300amp controller in hopes of upgrading to the 500amp one along with the motor upgrade. While I have the motor out next week I will also address the axle issue, as I've read on here recently, I have the "white tag" team axle and have learned that its not the one to have. Once I get things opened up and checked over, I'm sure I will be on here asking a ton more questions! : )
