Default Yamaha drive leaking battery acid

Have a 09 yamaha drive and whenever I charge it , it will make a bubbling sound which I think is normal and then I will find spots on my gauarge floor of battery acid. I looked underneath cart and found the acid caked on each side under frame. What would cause this?

Batteries are overfilled and pushing out when charging.

Only fill batteries after a full charge! The level rises during charging and they will overflow if they are too full. Clean everything you can because it will damage the frame. My drive has a nice plastic battery tray that contains the minor mess perfectly. I ditched my FLA batteries for Lithium about a month ago and there was no corrosion anywhere in my four year old cart. (But I was very careful never to overfill the batteries and I hosed them off periodically.)

I keep an old windex bottle in my shop to clean corrosion from batteries, just put 2 tbsp of baking soda in bottle and fill with water. Shake well before use spray on area affected (you will notice the affected area bubbling) once bubbling stop just rinse with garden hose.
