2013 G29 rearend grinding not the usual culprit

Good morning all, I have a G29 and the rearend has started making a grinding sound again. It did this once before about 6 months after I bought it, read about it on here and found that the axle nuts needed to be tightened, which I did and the noise went away. That was a year and a half ago, well it started making what sounded like the same noise only louder this time, so I figured that since they are not castle nuts that they had loosened up again. I went to check them yesterday and every thing is still tight, put the torque wrench on them 80 ft/lb. Does anyone know if there is another common issue that would cause this noise. The transaxle has the green sticker so I don't think it is a bad one. Any help is appreciated.

thanks for the reply CG I was going to pull the motor and start looking there but then got thinking hell this thing is still under warranty. I don't want to void warranty so I am just going to take it back to dealer and have him check it out
I spoke to dealer this morning and will be dropping it off to him at the end of the week. Luckily I still have the faithful old DS to get me around while it is in the shop.

OK looking for advice now, I took the cart back to the dealer rode it around with him and discussed the growling/grinding noise and possible causes. He had the cart for a week and called and told me it was ready so I picked it up and drove it around a bit. It is still making the same noise as before. What he told me he did is drain the fluid from rearend and replaced with a chrysler fluid (he didn't say what particular fluid and I didn't think to ask). I asked about the noise still being there and he said that it is a normal golf cart noise, and that I have plenty of time left on my warranty should it cause any more problems. Well as you can imagine that is not the answer that I was looking for I have had many carts over the years and never had one growl/grind like this and thought that is just a normal noise. I am the type that is highly bothered by unusual noises in any piece of equipment and this noise is driving me nuts. I guess what I am asking is how far can I go to isolating the noise and repairing it myself without voiding my warranty? Had thought about removing motor and running it under no load to see if it is the centering bearing, and if that isn't what is making the noise just pulling it with my other cart without the motor installed and see if I can hear the noise in the gears. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated. I had thought of taking it to another dealer but the only other one in my area is about 5 hours away.

cannot run the motor without the axle's input shaft to support the end.of the armature that has no bearing.

Thanks for the reply cg I never even gave that a thought. Do you think that the other tests I proposed would work to help isolate the noise.

Is the noise there all the time? Is it there under deceleration? Could be the rubber grommet in the armature coupler like GCtech said.

i also not liking the "chrysler fluid" thing. the part number for the correct fluid for your axle from yamaha is "ACC-SHAFT-LU-00"

Smallblock the noise is there all the time but it is much more noticeable when decelerating. CG thanks for the part number I will be changing that out I was not to keen on the chrysler fluid either. Does anyone have a link to an exploded view of the team transaxle would be handy to have if I am going to start pulling things apart to make sure everything where it should be.

If you search google for oem Yamaha golf cart parts, you can find breakdowns. I use the big sky golf cars web site. You just have to enter the year and model cart, then search their categories.
