hey guys, I am trying to figure out what year this cart is so I can do some research to find out about making it go a little faster. Do any of you guys have any suggestions? I think its around a 2001 or so.

If you lift up the seat, and look where the back of the seat rests on the body, there will be a few stickers. One of which will tell you year and model, a battery wiring diagram one one other thing I can't remember right now. But that should get you the info you are looking for

you guys are awesome! This is a 36v cart. How can I make it go a little faster? Don't they have some kind of freedom chip or something?

G22's are 48 volt. 6- 8 volt batteries. Show us a picture of the battery compartment and charger.

by looking at google with the YAMAHA badge on the front it seems like its a G14, and my buddy said it was a 36V and not 48 but he is suppose to send me some pictures of the batteries and date codes under the seat.

those are 8v batteries (4 cells per battery). 6x8=48. also, no 36v yamahas ever had their batteries in a straight row like the G22. also, no "sepex" (small field wires) yamaha ever 36v. best speed increase is a alltrax controller, will get you 24mph. no PTV speed code possible on G22 with.Ge controller & motor.
