Default Yamaha Drive Quit

08 drive wouldn't move this morning. Replaced the solenoid because I had a spare and still didn't move. Looked at the fuse and it was fine. When I put it back in, the cart started to work. I think it was just coincidence. The cart only made it nine holes and then quit again. Now it doesn't click when you turn the key on.

hey,

more info please . How are your batteries?, how old are they? if the voltage is low enough your solenoid wont function properly and you wont be able to move. batteries are usually the issue a good part of the time. Also, is your charger charging the batteries ok??

hmmm, shouldnt click just when you turn the key on anyway. it seems like you need to get a voltmeter out and take readings of each battery. then plug charger in and do that again when the chargers been on for a while. sounds like a battery issue.

I'll just go in this thread, since I am having a similar issue. I replaced the controller with a used one in mine, and it ran fine, then died while I was driving. First thought was needs charging, but the batteries were a month old, vehicle had been driven a total of 8 blocks and no more. The solenoid clicks twice when I turn it to run and turn the key on, but that's it. Solenoid is a month old, I even swapped it with another one I had, same result. Batteries are a month old. My charger was bad, replaced the charger. Full charged the batteries sunday. Put a volt meter on each individual battery, all a shade over 8. I tested power at the switch on the brake. When I push the throttle, I have 17v coming through. Tested the tow/run switch, and it is functioning properly. Checked fuse, it is fine. Tested the ignition switch, it is fine. If I flip the F/R switch to reverse, the beeper works. I'm getting very frustrated with this thing.

usually if you leave the car on, and you release the pedal switch and the little spring loaded button releases the car will start going on its own. so make sure if you remove it make sure the cart is off to prevent it running on you if it is working.
