Yamaha G16 added Amp for Radio
I added an Alpine KTP-445U head unit to my G16 golf cart. The radio and amp work great when sitting or just a little above idle when I accelerate my voltage is going over 16volts and the amp shuts down. I've tried the voltage regulator off of my wife's cart and no change. I had a spare generator for our carts and figured I would try that and still no change. I'm wondering if I need to install a better voltage regulator? I have ran a sony marine radio and had no trouble with that or any other thing on the cart. I've moved the ground also several times. If I wasn't bald already I would be!!
