Default Changing lights on 2010 to LED

I am wondering if any of you can suggest any information on converting the headlights and tail lights to LED.

I am also thinkink of using a reducer to allow drawing from total battery pack. Any experience, tips?

I converted my Drive because the headlights were not bright enough. The LED lights are much brighter. Mine already had LED tail lights and a reducer. I would go with a reducer for sure.

I can't even (yet) figure out how to open the lights to find out what is in them! I do not see any screws. I cannot see any reference to the headlight wiring on the Owners Manual wiring diagram.

I understood my old EZGO but I am stymied on figuring out the wiring on this cart to add a tail light. Or if/how to use a 48V to 12V reducer.

ANY help appreciated

I bought the led kit from Amazon for like $100. Easy install and comes with complete wiring harness. I also bought a generic 48v-12v reducer for like $15 and it works just fine. Hooked fused reducer up to the full pack, then the lights to the reducer. This also works for usb charger, radio, etc. I figured I'd roll the dice on the cheap one before spending $$ on a MadJax reducer and it's worked fine so far. As for removing your existing lights, no idea. Mine didn't have any to begin with.

The lamp installs from the rear of the lights if they are the stock Yamaha ones. Remove the whole assembly - four screws. The turn light is in the corner. The main headlamp goes in the back. Mine had a 35W bulb. You can replace it with 55W halogen. I tried an LED replacement bulb and it did not work well. The bulb went in too far and was not even close to being at the focal point of the reflector so the light came out totally unfocused. I found replacement assemblies on EBAY that had very nice LEDs in it. These assemblies replaced the whole stock one.

Thanks for the information. I am still trying to figure out how the darn things get power!

My old EZGO was easy to figure out and this one has no bvious taps from a battery so I don't knw how to wire in a voltage reducer - yet!

mY CART HAS A VOLTAGE REDUCER and headlights and tail lights. I want to know what the heck I do to remove the lights as suggested to replace a bulb or attach a additional tail light. I tried to use a hex socket to remove a tail light and it seems to not work! do they have a special hex size or what? I cannot see the back of the reducer to see anyof the wiring.

Any ideas? suggestions?

I am still worried about being able to change a light bulb if needed and acess to being able to add a light wire connection. As I said, I tried using a socket that seems to fit the hes screws and was not able to get them loose! Any solutions?
