What Year Is This Heap (no vin but pics and other #s)
I came across an old Yamaha that I am thinking about restoring. This would be cart #7 for me but a first Yamaha. The good: the price was right (free), the tires are all fairly new, the body is in pretty good shape, it has a roof, and the motor is there and it spins. The bad: everything else. No batteries and someone tore both the controller and the F/R lever apart in futile attempts at repair.
There are no vin plates on this cart but I located a random sticker that was loose in the motor area. It says "JH7-82590-01". Pics are also attached. Is this a '91 G9? Not sure if I am going to restore this yet or just canabalize the usable stuff. To make a decision I have to figure out what the heck this is first. |

Third picture..just forward of the dismanteled controller is an aluminum plate that has the car's serial# on it . Should start with JH7- Looks pretty corroded and a new controller/forward reverse switch are expensive!

All the same, if I go ahead and tackle this I may look into converting to 48v and replace all of the electronics (if that's even possible on a G9). I did this on my EZ Go and it came out well. If not possible I'll just scrap it. |

Very possible, and I recommend doing it. Will work real nice with a alltrax controller.
