Default new volt meter for my g29

Just installed today....checked with my fluke meter and it dead on

Does it turn on & off w/the key? If so, what wire did you tap into for the + on it so it's switched?

Yea....it is only on with the key on......negative is wired directly to battery and positive is tapped into the red/white wire at the key switch

I'm actually trying to wire up a voltage reducer but can't figure out which wire is the keyed hot wire so it will turn off/on w/the key off/on. Does yours have only 2 wires going to the key, 1 red w/yellow stripe & 1 red w/white stripe & you used the red w/white stripe?

I pretty sure I went to the red/white...I'd have to check to make sure....but yes I have the same setup as you...
