Yamaha 1996 G19e
New motor, new solenoid, rebuilt controller. Solenoid clicks when in run but no go when pedal is pushed. What should I check next?

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
Check pedal switch. BTW, does the cart resist being pushed & beep at you if you try to push it with tow/run switch on run? What controller model, same as original in aluminum box?

Back up buzzer doesn't sound when reverse switch is in reverse. I will check on your recommendation in morning. Controller is original in aluminum box, I had it rebuilt.

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
Cart does not resist or beep. Reverse buzzer will need to be replaced. Will that keep it from running? Peddle doesn't seem to be sticking. I am getting 48 volts to Fwd/Rev switch.

What is BTW...by the way? Could it be throttle sensor? How can I tell?

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
(BTW= By The Way) Reverse beeper won't keep the cart from running, just helps in some simple diagnosis of what is working on the controller. If the solenoid does not click when pedal pressed, throttle sensor is not likely the primary problem. A failed (or Unplugged) throttle sensor would still allow the solenoid to click when pedal pressed, but wouldn't move. If you have the stock motor & tach sensor installed, but cart doesn't resist being pushed (simulating a accidental roll-away, like forgot to set parking brake, which cart shouldn't allow), sounds like a motor controller problem may still exist. The "Anti-rollaway" feature should work with most everything else on the cart failed. Only these 5 things have to work for "Anti-rollaway" to work, motor, motor tach sensor, motor controller, solenoid, tow/run switch. Since we know a failed/unplugged tach sensor won't prevent the cart from operating, we can rule that out. Since the solenoid clicks when tow run switch is turned on, tow/run switch is ruled out as the problem. If these 5 things don't work & Anti-rollaway doesn't work, I wouldn't even be worried about key switch, throttle switch & sensor, f&r or reverse beeper, something even more important is not yet working. Only reason I asked about reverse beeper was that it also indicates when cart is in "Anti-rollaway" operation.

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
Where would I locate the motor tech sensor? Never mind I found it. I got a new reverse buzzer so I will due push test and look at replacing the tach sensor.

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
The tach sensor won't prevent the cart from driving, we are just using it as a diagnostic tool right now.

Re: Yamaha 1996 G19e
It still does not pass push test. I even put the new buzzer on and it doesn't even sound when in reverse on switch. What should I look at now?
