Default Extend run time

I'm sure this has already been posted and discussed, for that I apologize. However I have tried to do some homework on extending battery length of charge.. hopefully I'm wording that correctly I have found plenty of info on how to speed up or more torque via controllers or new motor .. basically I recently just bought a used Yamaha 48v lifted 6" with 23" tires batteries are Crown brand and from 2 years ago. It's winter where I live and roughly 25 degrees right now on a full charge according to charger its full but the cart can barely run a mile and a half without loosing most of its charge to a point it kills the headlights when accelartor is pushed. I don't know if I should start with controller, motor, batteries. Also it has been up graded to #4 welding lead wire. My biggest concern is not speed or torque just being able to go about 10 miles without completely dying. Thank you in advance and sorry for lengthy post

Most likely start with verifying the voltage of the battery pack when the charger says it is fully charged.

Overall voltage, and individual voltages. Check water level in batteries.
What charger are you using?

Sounds like a battery problem. Cold weather makes your range much worse too.

Roger that guys ... my flukes been acting up on me .. think my leads or going bad I'll grab some from work today and check them. I was hoping someone would say that about the cold lol ... this Sunday is suppose to be around 70 so I sure hope that changes my outcome .. as far as the charger goes it appears to be the original Yamaha charger that came with the cart
