Default G29 broken cross member on frame

Ok so I was playing a tournament this past weekend and my brothers cart died, after we finished the round I let him use my G29 to pull his cart back to his house. He wrapped the tow chain around a small 1/4" square tube welded into the back of the frame. Needless to say I no longer have that 1/4" square tube on my cart. My question is what was the purpose of the tube and how important is it? Has anyone ever had this happen, and what is the best fix?

You mean you use your cart to play GOLF, LOL

Just looked at my G22 and the only square 1/4 tube connects the ends of the swing arm. But once the rear end is bolted to the swing arm I cant see it having much value.

So your good.
Think its just used to keep swing arm square before the rear end is put in.

Probably less important with the Team transaxle, there are no bolt on steel axle tube's.
