Wiring Stereo - Power Issue
I bought a BOSS AUDIO ASK904B.64 bluetooth amp and speaker set for a cheap audio install on my G29 (see pic). I wired my 48 to 12 voltage reducer inputs to the main batteries, then wired my Blue Sea Systems ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Block (see pic) to my reducers outputs. I then wired my head lights to 1-circuit on the fuse block (no issues - works fine) then I wired the BOSS amp to another circuit....and nothing.
I ran a + and - wire from the Fuse Box to the amp's location. I checked with a voltage meter to make sure the wires had power (they do). Then I connected the wires to the + and - wires on the amp's wiring harness. At this point the amp should be powered, right? I connected the little remote that controls the amp and pressed the power button and nothing happens. I ordered a replacement BOSS set b/c I thought maybe I got a dud on the first order but the replacement came in yesterday and the same thing happened. Am I doing something wrong or missing a step? I saw on Amazon that people have had issues with this set but I want to make sure that I'm doing it right before I return everything. Note #1, the positive input wire on the AMP's wiring hardness comes fused and I tried changing the fuse with no luck. Note #2, the voltage reducer is not wired to my ignition. |

Re: Wiring Stereo - Power Issue
you need the trigger wire (red) to 12v + (on the fuse box)

Re: Wiring Stereo - Power Issue
OK, I wired the red ignition wire on the amp harness to the fuse box like you said and it works! But there is another issue now....When the system is powered on the BOSS remote face glows blue which its suppose to but when the power is off the remote face glows red. So even when my cart is off and the the BOSS system is off the BOSS face still glows red. I guess its still sucking some power with cart off. I put the cart in TOW mode to see if it went off and it didnt.
