Default Installed new solenoid issue

I installed a new Solenoid for my YDRE cart. Unfortunately, I cannot remember where this red wire goes....

In the picture, there is the red and black wire coming out of the plastic connector, i know those go on the small towers....but that single red one by itself, I didn't even see it when i took it apart and I do not know where it goes now. (Circled in red) I do not want to blow my new solenoid because i guessed where it went...lol

Can anyone tell me where to put it?

Thanks!

2008 YDRE - I tried looking for schematics, but no help. I took another picture of it. I cannot tell when it goes due to it being wrapped in protective plastic. It is not long enough to reach the solenoid AND go to a battery terminal. I'm stuck...Maybe it was never connected? IDK....

Do you mean on the large terminal on the top, put it with the main red wire?

yes, that is what cgtech meant. On the large positive terminal of the solenoid which is connected directly to the battery. This wire feeds the Tow/Run switch. See attached YDRE wiring diagram.

Just making sure I got it right. Can't post a pic through my phone. But the positive wire on the large teminal goes to a silver metal box with a large + and - on it., not to a battery. Just confirming that we are on the same page still?

Thanks!

I think we need a pic of that. I have no experience with Yamaha but...

A large metal box sounds like a voltage reducer.
But why would a large 6awg or bigger wire go from the solenoid to the reducer?
Does a 6awg go from the so called reducer to the battery also?
It would have to or something is not making sense.
I guess it could be wired that way.

It would seem that the unknown red wire in question with large ring terminal
does go to the run/tow switch circuit as others have stated and is in the schematic.

Schematic does not show a voltage reducer but that is probably and add on.

Maybe the moderators can update this thread title to "Installed new solenoid".

"Installed new" is very open ended...

They have amazing power!
