Default Upgrade all cables to 4 gauge on Yamaha G2E?

Greetings everyone. This is for a 1985 Yamaha G2 Electric 36V golf cart. I am replacing the batteries. I have read on here to upgrade the battery cables to 4 gauge for better performance at minimal cost. Should I also consider replacing the other cables (to the Hitachi motor, speed controller, resistor, etc.)? The G2E cable kits I have found show only 5 cables of equal length but should I need more cables and none on my cart look to be equal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Randy

If you upgrade your controller or motor you could replace the wires going to them with thicker stuff, but if its factory stuff then it's fine as is. Upgrading from your 6ga wire to 4ga will not give you a performance upgrade really, it just makes current flow easier for the system

G2 is a resistor cart (with a bunch of cables). the cable kits are only the cables on the batteries. 4ga wires will do very little to a otherwise stock system.
