Re: Help with identifying model!
JW2-3xxxxx = 2010 Yamaha drive electric. Your third pic with the JW2-302839 number & barcode is your serial number. First year for Drive electric was 2007 (JW2-0xxxxx), 2008 is JW2-1xxxxx, 2009 is JW2-2xxxxx, see where this is going?

Re: Help with identifying model!
Sure do, thanks for that info. It was advertised as a 2014 (which pisses me off). Although it is in excellent condition (like new) Can you help with the model? I think I've read on the forum that the yellow tag on the trans axial indicates it has high speed gears in it is that accurate ? And lastly can you suggest where the main id tag is located?

Re: Help with identifying model!
The tag is missing due to someones repaint in ford red (it would be on the body, just above the ledge where the seat rests when closed) This serial number tag is the best you got.
It is a 2010 YDRE "the Drive", also known as a G-29. The yellow tag indicates it is the second version of that axle, nothing to do with high speed gears at all. |

Re: Help with identifying model!
Thanks again for the info that helps a lot ! I wish people could be honest and let you know up front when they are advertising and selling something. But I guess as the buyer you have to be savy on what you are buying. What would you say the going price would be or good deal on this year make and model cart?

Re: Help with identifying model!
I'm a mechanic, not a salesman. Plus, price varies widely based on location due to local preference and demand.

Got ya, makes sense!
Was 2010 a good year for the YDRE or problematic in your opinion? |

Re: Help with identifying model!
It's the same as all the rest of the DC Drives. It's after the white tag axle problems. I prefer the Dana axle equipped ones (newer), but I don't see you in for huge problems. Don't do high speed gears for speed. Go controller then motor. It's the more expensive way, but will yeild better performance & reliability. They are good carts.

Only thing I would say is when you change your batteries go to 8 volts it's more effective
